Totally Delicious Infused Water to Keep You Hydrated

We all know that drinking enough water is good for our body. Studies have shown that drinking water is a proven method for increasing weight loss. Part of the reason is because water naturally raises your metabolism. Other reasons include: fills you up, flushes your system, and naturally helps your body release fat cells. Water is easily absorbed by the body, thus, making it quicker to recover from liquid loss or dehydration.

Why Infuse Your Water with Fruits?

Drinking water alone already has a lot of benefits, and by adding fruits, it kinda doubles up the benefits. Some people get bored of drinking water alone (raising hand) and opt for fruit juices, energy drinks, or much worse, soda! So instead of consuming these sugar-laden or caffeine-full drinks, infused water is a better choice. It makes drinking water more enjoyable, feisty to the eyes, and exciting to the taste buds. Not to mention the nutritional benefits that comes with it. So here is a chart, showing a basic idea on what you can pack your water with and what it does to your body:

We have tried these blends, and they are all wonderful tasting and awesomely refreshing! What’s great is that you can make them and pour them in water bottles (make sure they are BPA free) and carry them around to drink especially after working out. You can infuse for 1-2 hours at room temperature, or 3-4 hours if refrigerated, but if you want for flavor, you can infuse for 12 hours or overnight in the fridge. You can actually store them in the fridge for 3 days! But since the ingredients are really easy to find, I suggest always making them fresh. You can make big batches and it is also a great idea for drinks at a party. You can also try other recipes, or whip up your own, using your favorite fruits, either way, you pack on vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and nutrients of whatever fruits, herbs, or even vegetable that you’ll use. Plus, the benefits of water and keeping yourself hydrated.
